Dream Decor: Madonna Inn

So I'm having a go at blogging once more. I go hot and cold with this sort of thing but I am trying to work a proper schedule to truly make it happen this time. There are so many things I'd like to write about; it's just a matter of being organized! So here's to another round of the ol' stripes...

These pictures are a couple years old now, but they've been hanging out in my camera this whole time. I took a trip up to Sonoma with my family in late 2011 and on our way back down we made a stop at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. We didn't stay over night, just walked around the lobby and shop and WOW! If you like pink this is the place for you! Their décor is for a very specific taste, but I loved it. It's fairly unassuming from the outside, but if you are ever in the area it's worth it to just check out their dining area. GLAM!








It looks so nice and unassuming, right? But wait...





This is their dining area! I know that it is over the top, but I really love it! There is something very old-school glam about it, There are many old photographs throughout the building that showcase that 50s/60s/70s vibe. If you have time just to walk around I recommend it!





Plus, this floral print is their carpet! And that pink damask wallpaper? Seriously how can you not love it?

I've never been in any of the rooms but they have many different themes. Go into the gift shop (upstairs) and check out the postcards they have with pictures of all different rooms, including the rock room!
